Jay & The Americans in Peekskill

Jay & The Americans are an American pop and rock vocal group formed in Queens, New York, in 1960. Their close harmonies and dramatic lead vocals shaped 1960s hits including “She Cried,” “Come a Little Bit Closer,” “Cara Mia,” “Only in America” and “This Magic Moment.” An early Greenwich Village engagement was captured on the album At the Cafe Wha?. In 1964, the group performed at the Washington Coliseum concert that marked the Beatles’ first full US concert. After original members regrouped in 2006, Jay & The Americans returned to concert stages with Jay Reincke singing lead.
