Jay-Jay Johanson is a Swedish singer-songwriter and producer, born in Trollhättan in 1969. He makes trip-hop and electronic pop shaped by a low, restrained vocal style. His debut album, Whiskey, introduced songs including “So Tell the Girls That I Am Back in Town,” while “Believe in Us” and “On the Radio” became other key works in his catalogue. After the release of Whiskey, Jay-Jay Johanson took its songs to clubs and theatres across Europe. He followed with concerts drawing on Tattoo and Poison, then brought the synth-led material of Antenna into his live repertoire. France and Turkey have remained important markets for his tours, which have repeatedly included Paris and Istanbul.
