About JAŸ-Z
JAY-Z is an American rapper, songwriter and record producer born in Brooklyn in 1969. His catalog includes the albums Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album, as well as songs such as “99 Problems” and “Empire State of Mind.”
The 1999 Hard Knock Life Tour brought JAY-Z together with DMX, Method Man and Redman for an arena run. In 2003 he staged a retirement concert at Madison Square Garden that was documented in Fade to Black. He later co-headlined the Watch the Throne Tour with Kanye West and mounted the On the Run tours with Beyoncé.
JAY-Z opened Barclays Center with a series of arena concerts in 2012. In later stadium appearances with Beyoncé, he performed at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
