About Jazz Band Młynarski-Masecki
Jazz Band Młynarski-Masecki is a Polish dance-jazz ensemble formed in Warsaw in 2016 by singer and percussionist Jan Emil Młynarski and pianist Marcin Masecki. The group revives the swing, tangos and popular songs heard in Poland between the world wars. Its recordings include the albums Noc w wielkim mieście and Płyty gramofonowe, as well as versions of songs such as “Abduł Bey.”
Concerts built around Noc w wielkim mieście brought these arrangements into theatres, concert halls and jazz festivals, while later sets added material from Płyty gramofonowe. The group performs as an acoustic dance orchestra featuring voice, piano, brass, reeds, banjo and rhythm section, led by Młynarski and Masecki.
