JD McPherson in Los Angeles

JD McPherson is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, who plays rock and roll rooted in rockabilly and rhythm and blues. His debut album, Signs & Signifiers, included “North Side Gal” and “Fire Bug”; later records include Let the Good Times Roll, Undivided Heart & Soul and the Christmas album Socks. The 2015 touring cycle for Let the Good Times Roll took his full band through North America and Europe, including a performance at Glastonbury Festival. After releasing Socks in 2018, he brought its original holiday songs and rock-and-roll arrangements to U.S. theatres on recurring runs billed as SOCKS: A Rock n’ Roll Christmas Tour.

Melissa Carper is an American singer-songwriter and upright bassist raised in Nebraska. She plays traditional country, western swing and old-time jazz, and is known for the solo albums Daddy’s Country Gold, Ramblin’ Soul and Borned in Ya. Before Daddy’s Country Gold, she performed around Austin with the Carper Family and also played in the Arkansas group Sad Daddy. She later toured her solo records through clubs, theatres and festivals in the United States and Britain, singing lead and playing upright bass with her band, and has performed at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.
