Jeff Kashiwa in Charlotte

Jeff Kashiwa is an American smooth-jazz saxophonist, born in Louisville and raised in Seattle. He is known for his long association with The Rippingtons and for solo albums including Remember Catalina, Walk a Mile and Simple Truth. Jeff Kashiwa spent much of the 1990s touring with The Rippingtons, a period documented on the concert album Live in L.A. He later took his own band to jazz clubs and festivals, then formed the recording and touring trio The Sax Pack with fellow saxophonists Steve Cole and Kim Waters. Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival has featured his solo work, and he has also performed at Berks Jazz Fest.
