Jennifer Rostock in Wiesbaden

Jennifer Rostock is a German-language rock band formed in 2007 by musicians from the Baltic island of Usedom and based in the German capital. Their music draws on alternative rock, punk, pop, electronic music and new wave. They performed “Kopf oder Zahl” at the 2008 Bundesvision Song Contest and released their debut album, Ins offene Messer, that year. Later albums include Der Film, Mit Haut und Haar, Schlaflos and Genau in diesem Ton. Early concerts took Jennifer Rostock into Berlin clubs and support appearances for Chikinki and Gallows. The band subsequently played concerts and festivals across Germany, Austria and Switzerland before announcing a hiatus after its 2018 tour. Their stage work was also documented by the concert release Live in Berlin.
