Jenny Oaks Baker in Baltimore

Jenny Oaks Baker is an American violinist who performs classical crossover arrangements of hymns, film music and pop standards. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School, she played in the first-violin section of the National Symphony Orchestra before pursuing a solo career. Her recordings include Then Sings My Soul and the Grammy-nominated Wish Upon a Star. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Baker performed as part of the event’s cultural program. Her later concert appearances included Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, while her family performances developed into the touring Christmas production Joy to the World! A Sacred Celebration, featuring Jenny Oaks Baker & Family Four.
