Jeremy Messersmith is an American singer-songwriter born in Charleston, South Carolina, and based in Minneapolis. His indie pop and folk-rock catalog includes the albums The Alcatraz Kid, The Silver City, The Reluctant Graveyard and Heart Murmurs, as well as songs such as “A Girl, a Boy, and a Graveyard” and “Tatooine.” His 2010 NPR Tiny Desk Concert documented an intimate performance drawn largely from The Reluctant Graveyard. In 2014, he celebrated the release of Heart Murmurs with a full-band concert at First Avenue in Minneapolis.
