Jim Messina in Sellersville

Jim Messina is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist and producer known for his work with Buffalo Springfield, Poco and Loggins & Messina. Born in 1947 in Maywood, California, he co-founded Poco before forming his partnership with Kenny Loggins. Their catalog includes “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “Danny’s Song,” “House at Pooh Corner” and the albums Sittin’ In and Full Sail. The 2005 Sittin’ In Again tour reunited him with Kenny Loggins and included a concert recorded at the Santa Barbara Bowl. In 2010, he joined the surviving members of Buffalo Springfield for the Bridge School Benefit at Shoreline Amphitheatre; the group followed that appearance with a short reunion tour in 2011 under the Buffalo Springfield name.
