Jim Peterik is an American singer, guitarist, keyboardist and songwriter, born in 1950. He founded The Ides of March, whose signature song is “Vehicle,” and later co-founded Survivor. His best-known compositions include Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” and “Burning Heart,” as well as 38 Special’s “Hold On Loosely” and “Caught Up in You.”

The Ides of March reunited in 1990, returning Peterik to concert stages with the band’s catalog. He later established Jim Peterik’s World Stage as a concert series built around songs from his writing career and guest performances, presenting it in a theatre setting at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles.
