Jim White in Birmingham

Jim White is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music draws on alternative country, folk and Southern Gothic storytelling. He made his recording debut with The Mysterious Tale of How I Shouted Wrong-Eyed Jesus!, followed by albums including No Such Place and Drill a Hole in That Substrate and Tell Me What You See. His best-known songs include “A Perfect Day to Chase Tornadoes” and “Static on the Radio,” the latter featuring Aimee Mann. Jim White has toured in North America and Europe since his debut, performing material from across his solo catalogue in clubs, theatres and festival settings. His British appearances have included concerts in London and Manchester.
