JJ Grey is an American singer-songwriter from North Florida and the leader of JJ Grey & Mofro. He plays southern rock rooted in soul and funk, and his best-known recordings include “Lochloosa,” “The Sun Is Shining Down” and “Brighter Days.” The 2011 concert film and live album Brighter Days documented JJ Grey & Mofro at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse, where Grey performed on vocals, guitar and harmonica with the full band. In 2015, the group joined Tedeschi Trucks Band and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings for the inaugural Wheels of Soul tour, which included a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
