About Jochen Distelmeyer
Jochen Distelmeyer is a German singer, songwriter, guitarist and author, born in Bielefeld in 1967. He is best known as the frontman of Blumfeld, the Hamburg band associated with the Hamburger Schule and responsible for albums including L’État et moi, Old Nobody and Testament der Angst. His solo records include Heavy, Songs From the Bottom Vol. 1 and Gefühlte Wahrheiten.
Blumfeld completed a farewell tour in 2007, after which he returned to the road under his own name following the release of Heavy. In 2014, he reunited with the band for concerts marking the anniversary of L’État et moi, performing the album in full at shows including Hamburg.
