Joe Jackson in Cambridge

Joe Jackson is an English singer-songwriter, pianist and bandleader born in 1954. His music ranges across new wave, piano-led pop and jazz, and he became known through the album Look Sharp! and songs including “Is She Really Going Out with Him?,” “Steppin’ Out” and “Breaking Us in Two.” Night and Day became another central album in his catalogue. In 1986, Joe Jackson recorded Big World during performances at the Roundabout Theatre in New York, making the audience part of the album sessions. He later recorded the live album Summer in the City at Joe’s Pub with bassist Graham Maby and drummer Gary Burke. In 2019, he took a career-spanning set through theatres in North America and Europe on the Four Decade Tour.

Conner Youngblood is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Dallas and based near Nashville. He makes experimental indie folk shaped by acoustic instruments and electronic beats, playing guitar, drums, clarinet, harp and tabla. After self-releasing music from 2012, he issued the EP The Generation of Lift through Counter Records in 2016, followed by the albums Cheyenne in 2018 and Cascades, Cascading, Cascadingly in 2024. Conner Youngblood has toured with Janelle Monáe and Milky Chance, and he has also performed at Field Day in London.
