Joep Beving in Esch-sur-Alzette

Joep Beving is a Dutch pianist and composer, born in 1976, whose modern classical music is built around spacious, melodic piano writing. His self-released album Solipsism led to a contract with Deutsche Grammophon and was followed by Prehension and Henosis; widely heard pieces include “Sleeping Lotus” and “Ab Ovo.” Following Solipsism, Beving took his solo-piano repertoire to seated concert halls, including Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw. As the repertoire expanded through Prehension and Henosis, he brought these concerts to Sydney Opera House and Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie.
