About John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band
John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band is an American rock group formed in Narragansett, Rhode Island, in 1972. Led by singer and guitarist John Cafferty, the band became known through the soundtrack to the film Eddie and the Cruisers, particularly “On the Dark Side” and “Tender Years.” Its catalogue also includes the album Tough All Over and the song “C-I-T-Y.”
During the 1970s, the group established its live career in clubs around Rhode Island and the wider Northeast. In 1985, it reached a stadium audience when it performed at Live Aid at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia.
