Artist
John Lydon is an English singer and songwriter, born in London in 1956, who became known as the frontman of Sex Pistols and later formed Public Image Ltd. His recordings include Sex Pistols’ “Anarchy in the U.K.” and “God Save the Queen,” as well as Public Image Ltd’s “Public Image,” “Rise” and the album Metal Box. In 1978, John Lydon fronted Sex Pistols at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco for the band’s final concert of its original era. He returned for the 1996 Filthy Lucre Tour, while Public Image Ltd resumed live work in 2009 at O2 Academy Brixton. His solo-billed theatre appearances later took the form of autobiographical stories and audience questions under the title I Could Be Wrong, I Could Be Right.
