Johnny Marr is a British guitarist, singer and songwriter, born in Manchester in 1963. He formed The Smiths with Morrissey in 1982 and co-wrote songs including “This Charming Man,” “How Soon Is Now?” and “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out.” He later formed Electronic with Bernard Sumner and built a solo catalogue that includes Call the Comet and Fever Dreams Pts 1–4.

Johnny Marr began touring with his own band after releasing The Messenger in 2013, following earlier periods on the road with The The, Modest Mouse and the Cribs. His band played the Other Stage at Glastonbury in 2019, and in 2022 he joined New Order for a co-headlining North American tour. A decade of solo records then became the basis of the Spirit Power Tour.
