About Jon Spencer & the HITmakers
Jon Spencer & the HITmakers is an American garage-rock and noise-rock band led by singer and guitarist Jon Spencer, whose earlier groups include Pussy Galore and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. The band released Spencer Gets It Lit in 2022, an album built around distorted guitar, synthesizer and forceful percussion.
In 2022, the band performed a live session for Seattle station KEXP, presenting the record in its touring arrangement. The same period included an appearance at La Route du Rock in Saint-Malo.
The touring lineup was a four-piece: Jon Spencer handled guitar and vocals, Sam Coomes played synthesizer, M. Sord played drums, and percussion came from Bob Bert.
