Joost in Melbourne

Joost Klein is a Dutch rapper, singer and visual artist born in Leeuwarden in 1997. He plays hip-hop, gabber, happy hardcore and pop, often using comic and deadpan lyrics. His best-known work includes the albums 1983 and Fryslân, the Ski Aggu and Otto Waalkes collaboration “Friesenjung,” and “Europapa,” chosen to represent the Netherlands in 2024. At Eurovision 2024 in Malmö, Joost performed in the second semi-final and qualified for the final, but was disqualified before it took place. Later that year he performed at Pinkpop in Landgraaf.
