Jordan Rakei is a New Zealand-Australian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who grew up in Brisbane and established his career in London. He plays soul and R&B informed by jazz and electronic music, and is known for the albums Cloak, Wallflower, Origin, What We Call Life and The Loop, as well as songs including “Sorceress” and “Mind’s Eye.” A 2017 NPR Tiny Desk Concert documented his early live repertoire in a compact band setting. In 2021, he presented a headline concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, drawing material from several stages of his catalogue. The performance was later issued as the album Live at the Royal Albert Hall.
