Jorge Celedón in Bogotá

Jorge Celedón is a Colombian vallenato singer, born in Villanueva, La Guajira, in 1968. He sang with Binomio de Oro de América before establishing a solo career in partnership with accordionist Jimmy Zambrano. His best-known songs include “Ay Hombe,” “Esta Vida” and “Cuatro Rosas.” In 2006, Jorge Celedón performed at the White House in Washington. He later appeared at the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar in 2013, taking his accordion-led vallenato repertoire to the Quinta Vergara stage.
