Jorge Palma in Feira

Jorge Palma is a Portuguese singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Lisbon in 1950, whose work moves between rock, pop and piano-led songwriting. His best-known songs include “Deixa-me Rir,” “A Gente Vai Continuar” and “Encosta-te a Mim,” while Bairro do Amor and the voice-and-piano album Só are central works in his catalogue. In the 1990s, Jorge Palma formed Palma’s Gang with Zé Pedro, Flak, Alex and Kalú, and the group recorded a live album at the Johnny Guitar club. He later performed with Sérgio Godinho in the joint concert project Juntos, which was also documented on a live album.
