Joshua Redman Quartet is an American jazz group led by saxophonist Joshua Redman. Its 1990s lineup paired him with pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist Christian McBride and drummer Brian Blade on the album Moodswing. A later quartet featuring Aaron Goldberg, Reuben Rogers and Gregory Hutchinson recorded Come What May. A 1995 club engagement at New York’s Village Vanguard was documented on Spirit of the Moment. Decades later, the original lineup reunited for the albums RoundAgain and LongGone and resumed performing together in concert halls and at jazz festivals. The group performs as an acoustic four-piece centered on the saxophone of Joshua Redman.
