Juan Fernando Velasco & Alberto Plaza in Bogotá

Alberto Plaza is a Chilean singer-songwriter, born in 1962, who writes Spanish-language pop and romantic ballads. His debut album was Que cante la vida, and the title song became a signature part of his catalogue alongside “Voy a cambiar el mundo” and “Milagro de abril.” In 1985, he performed “Que cante la vida” in the international competition at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. Three decades later, he marked 30 years as a recording and concert artist with a 2015 show at Movistar Arena in Santiago.
