Julien Baker in Lawrence

Julien Baker is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Memphis whose music moves between sparse indie folk and full-band alternative rock. She became known through the album Sprained Ankle, followed by Turn Out the Lights and Little Oblivions, and songs including “Appointments,” “Turn Out the Lights” and “Faith Healer.” She is also a member of boygenius with Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. The 2022 Wild Hearts Tour placed Baker on an outdoor co-headlining run with Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen. In 2023 she toured arenas and amphitheatres as part of boygenius on The Tour, whose itinerary included a concert at Madison Square Garden.
