Julieta Venegas in Cabo San Lucas

Julieta Venegas is a Mexican singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Long Beach in 1970 and raised in Tijuana. She first played with Tijuana No! before establishing a solo career in Spanish-language pop and rock. Albums including Sí and Limón y Sal produced songs such as “Andar conmigo,” “Me voy” and “Eres para mí.” The Limón y Sal Tour followed the album’s release, and in 2007 she performed at Coachella. In 2008 she recorded MTV Unplugged at Estudios Churubusco in Mexico City, joined by guests including Natalia Lafourcade, Marisa Monte, La Mala Rodríguez and Juan Son. She later returned to international touring with the Tu Historia Tour. Far beyond her home city, she has performed in Madrid and Buenos Aires.
