About Julio Iglesias
Julio Iglesias is a Spanish pop and romantic-ballad singer, born in Madrid in 1943. He represented Spain at the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest with “Gwendolyne” and became known for songs including “Hey,” “Begin the Beguine” and “Me olvidé de vivir.” His album 1100 Bel Air Place featured “To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before,” recorded with Willie Nelson.
The 1976 live album En el Olympia documented his appearances at the Olympia in Paris. More than a decade later, he performed in China, extending a concert career that had already taken his multilingual repertoire well beyond Spanish-speaking audiences.
His shows also reached major concert halls and arenas, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and Madison Square Garden in New York.
