Julio Preciado in Miguel Hidalgo

Julio Preciado is a Mexican banda singer from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, born in 1966. He sang lead for Banda El Recodo and later began a solo career backed by Banda Perla del Pacífico. His repertoire includes “Acábame de matar,” “Dos hojas sin rumbo” and “Cómo este loco.” During his years as Banda El Recodo’s lead singer, Julio Preciado performed the group’s regional Mexican repertoire with a full banda ensemble. He kept that format after going solo, touring with Banda Perla del Pacífico and mixing his own recordings with songs associated with his earlier period. He later reunited with Banda El Recodo for the group’s 80th-anniversary concert at Estadio Teodoro Mariscal in Mazatlán.
