July Talk in Halifax

July Talk is a Canadian alternative-rock band formed in Toronto in 2012, led by co-vocalists Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay. The group is known for the contrast between Dreimanis’s rasping baritone and Fay’s clear, forceful delivery on songs including “Guns + Ammunition,” “Push + Pull” and “Picturing Love.” Its albums include July Talk, Touch, Pray for It and Remember Never Before. In 2015, July Talk recorded a concert at Massey Hall for the venue’s Live at Massey Hall film series. Five years later, the band played physically distanced concerts at the Stardust Drive-In in Sharon, Ontario, during the period surrounding Pray for It. July Talk performs as a full rock band, and its shows center on the alternating vocals and physical stage interplay of Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay. The band has performed at Montreal’s Osheaga and Ottawa Bluesfest.
