Artist
Jürgen Kerth is a German guitarist, singer and songwriter from Erfurt who plays electric blues and blues rock. Born in 1948, he became known in East Germany for his distinctive guitar work and recordings including “Gloriosa” and the albums Kerth and Gloriosa. In 1967, he formed the Jürgen Kerth Quintett, and from 1971 he worked as a professional musician, performing extensively in the GDR. After German reunification, he kept playing clubs and blues festivals with the Jürgen Kerth Band.
