Justin Wells in Charlotte

Justin Wells is an American country and Americana singer-songwriter from Cynthiana, Kentucky. He first became known as the frontman of the country-rock band Fifth on the Floor, then established a solo catalogue that includes the albums Dawn in the Distance and The United State, as well as songs such as “The Highway Less Taken” and “Going Down Grinnin’.” Fifth on the Floor spent years touring clubs and theatres, including runs with Shooter Jennings, before playing its farewell show at Cosmic Charlie’s in Lexington in 2015. Wells then returned to the road under his own name, performing material from his solo records in listening rooms and clubs in Nashville.
