Karina Rykman is an American bassist, singer and songwriter based in New York, known for her work in keyboardist Marco Benevento’s trio and for her own funk-driven psychedelic rock. Her 2023 debut album, Joyride, includes the title track featuring Trey Anastasio. In 2016, Karina Rykman joined Marco Benevento’s touring trio, establishing a live career rooted in improvisational rock. Her own trio later supported Khruangbin at Radio City Music Hall and performed at Bonnaroo and The Peach Music Festival.
Guerilla Toss are an American experimental rock band formed in Boston in 2010. They play rhythm-heavy noise rock, no wave and dance-punk, heard across releases including Gay Disco, Eraser Stargazer, Twisted Crystal and Famously Alive. Their records have appeared on NNA Tapes, DFA Records and Sub Pop. A performance at Third Man Records’ Blue Room in Nashville was preserved on the concert release Live in Nashville. Guerilla Toss have also performed at SXSW in Austin and Treefort Music Fest in Boise.
