Carola in Skellefteå

Carola is a Swedish pop singer born in Stockholm in 1966. Her 1983 Melodifestivalen victory with “Främling” established her as a major recording artist, and her best-known songs also include “Tommy tycker om mig” and “Fångad av en stormvind,” which won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1991. At Eurovision in Munich in 1983, Carola performed “Främling” and finished third. She returned to the competition in Rome in 1991 and won with “Fångad av en stormvind.” Her third appearance came in Athens in 2006, where she represented Sweden with “Invincible.”
