About Karpe Diem
Karpe Diem is a Norwegian hip-hop duo formed in Oslo in 2000 by rappers Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Chirag Rashmikant Patel. They established their name through Norwegian-language releases including the EP Glasskår, the albums Fire vegger and Heisann Montebello, and songs such as “Påfugl” and “Lett å være rebell i kjellerleiligheten din.” The duo later shortened its billed name to Karpe.
In 2017, the duo staged three concerts at Oslo Spektrum around the Heisann Montebello project. They returned to the arena for a ten-show run in 2022 built around Omar Sheriff, then performed on the Orange Stage at Roskilde Festival in 2023.
