Artist
Karthik is an Indian playback singer born in Chennai in 1980, known for songs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi cinema. His recordings include “Oru Maalai” from Ghajini, “Ava Enna” from Vaaranam Aayiram, “Usure Pogudhey” from Raavanan and the Hindi song “Behka” from Ghajini. Karthik sang backing vocals for A. R. Rahman and later appeared in the composer’s concert ensemble at performances outside India. His subsequent stage work has included standalone film-song concerts and appearances as lead singer of the contemporary fusion group Arka.
