Kat Edmonson in Denver

Kat Edmonson is an American singer-songwriter from Houston whose music draws on vocal jazz, traditional pop and bossa nova. She became known through albums including Take to the Sky, Way Down Low, The Big Picture and Old Fashioned Gal, as well as songs such as “Lucky” and “Rainy Day Woman.” Appearances on Austin City Limits and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert brought her live work to broadcast audiences. She has also toured with Lyle Lovett, who recorded with her and featured her voice on his album Release Me, while her own headline concerts have centred on jazz clubs and theatres. Her festival appearances include Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. She has also performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
