Kate Ceberano in Brisbane

Kate Ceberano is an Australian singer and songwriter, born in Melbourne in 1966, whose work spans soul, pop and jazz. She sang with the 1980s funk-pop group I’m Talking on songs including “Trust Me” and “Do You Wanna Be?”, while her solo catalogue includes the albums Brave and Pash> and the singles “Bedroom Eyes” and “Pash”. I’m Talking joined the Australian Made concert tour in 1986. Ceberano later played Mary Magdalene in the 1992 Australian arena production of Jesus Christ Superstar, appearing in a cast led by John Farnham and Jon Stevens. In 2019, I’m Talking reunited and opened for Bryan Ferry on his Australian tour.
