Kathryn Mohr is an Oakland-based songwriter and field recordist who makes experimental electronic folk using voice, guitar, synthesizers and environmental recordings. Her 2022 EP Holly preceded the albums Waiting Room and Carve. She created Waiting Room during a residency at an abandoned fish factory in Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland, and recorded Carve in the Mojave Desert. Pitchfork Music Festival London included Kathryn Mohr in its 2025 lineup at EartH Theatre.
