Kavus Torabi is a British-Iranian guitarist, singer and composer, born in Tehran in 1971 and raised in Britain. He plays psychedelic, progressive and avant-garde rock, and is known for his work with Cardiacs, Gong and the band he founded, Knifeworld, as well as the solo albums Hip to the Jag and The Banishing. In 2003, he joined Cardiacs as a second guitarist and toured with the group until it ceased performing after Tim Smith became seriously ill in 2008.
