Artist
Kebnekajse is a Swedish progressive folk-rock band formed in Stockholm in 1971. The debut album Resa mot okänt mål drew on psychedelic and progressive rock, while Kebnekaise II set traditional Swedish melodies such as “Horgalåten” in electric arrangements led by guitarist Kenny Håkansson. The band’s 1975 concert at Festspelen in Umeå documented its amplified folk repertoire in performance, built around electric guitars, violin and percussion. Kebnekajse disbanded later in the 1970s and re-formed in 2001, returning to the stage with Kenny Håkansson.
