About Kelsey Lu
Kelsey Lu is an American singer, songwriter and classically trained cellist born in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her music places cello, layered vocals and electronic production within experimental pop and alternative R&B. She is known for the EP Church and her debut album Blood, which includes “Due West” and “Poor Fake.”
Before releasing her solo work, Kelsey Lu performed as a cellist with Solange, Kelela and Blood Orange. She recorded Church in a single take before an audience at the Church of Saint Luke and St. Matthew in Brooklyn. Following Blood, her festival appearances included Coachella in 2019.
