KEN mode is a Canadian noise-rock and hardcore band formed in Winnipeg in 1999 by brothers Jesse and Shane Matthewson. Its tense, abrasive sound is documented on albums including Venerable, Entrench, Loved, Null and Void; Venerable won the Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year. KEN mode performed at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg in 2013 during the Entrench period. The band appeared at ArcTanGent in England in 2023, then supported Baroness on North American dates later that year.
