Ken Ring is a Swedish rapper born in 1979, known for personal, socially direct hip-hop. His debut album, Vägen tillbaka, introduced songs including “Mamma,” while “Eld och djupa vatten” became another prominent recording in his catalogue.

At Vattenfestivalen in 1999, he performed “Spräng regeringen,” whose lyrics referred to attacking the government and the royal family. Police arrested him after the performance in Stockholm on suspicion that the lyrics constituted a threat.
