About Kenny Barron Trio
Kenny Barron Trio is an American jazz piano trio led by Philadelphia-born pianist and composer Kenny Barron, who was born in 1943. The group is known for albums including Wanton Spirit and Book of Intuition, as well as Barron compositions such as “Voyage” and “Sunshower.”
In 1996, Kenny Barron Trio recorded two nights at Bradley’s in New York with bassist Ray Drummond and drummer Ben Riley; the performances were released in two volumes as Live at Bradley’s and Live at Bradley’s II: The Perfect Set. Later lineups took the acoustic piano, double bass and drums format to events including Jazz in Marciac and the North Sea Jazz Festival.
