Kevin Costner & Modern West is an American country-rock band formed in 2007 by actor and singer Kevin Costner and musicians with whom he had played before his film career. The group debuted with Untold Truth, followed by records including Turn It On and From Where I Stand. Tales from Yellowstone drew on Costner’s role as John Dutton in the television drama Yellowstone. Kevin Costner & Modern West began giving concerts in 2007 and made its Grand Ole Opry debut the following year. The band later toured across Europe, playing country rock from its early albums during the tour supporting Turn It On.
