Keziah Jones in Metz

Keziah Jones is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Lagos in 1968. He calls his rhythm-led mix of funk and blues “blufunk,” a style introduced on his debut album, Blufunk Is a Fact! He is known for “Rhythm Is Love” and for albums including Black Orpheus and Nigerian Wood. His live story began with busking in London and the Paris Métro, where Philippe Cohen Solal discovered him in 1991. He later recorded a concert release at the Jazz Cafe and performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
