Kid Abelha in Rio de Janeiro

Kid Abelha is a Brazilian pop-rock band formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1981, fronted by singer Paula Toller. New-wave rhythms and melodic pop shaped albums such as Seu Espião and Educação Sentimental, while “Pintura Íntima,” “Como Eu Quero,” “Fixação” and “Lágrimas e Chuva” became signature songs. Kid Abelha performed at the inaugural Rock in Rio in 1985. The band recorded Acústico MTV in 2002 and toured the acoustic repertoire, including new arrangements of its established songs. After a hiatus, the group returned to the stage in 2011 for the 30th-anniversary Glitter de Principiante tour.
