About Kim Richardson
Kim Richardson is a Canadian singer and actress born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, in 1965. A blues, jazz and R&B vocalist, she is known for the singles “He’s My Lover” and “Peek-a-Boo,” which earned Juno Awards in 1986 and 1987. Her albums include Kaleidoscope and Mes amours.
In the early 1980s, she began performing professionally and sang in the family group The Richardsons. After moving to Montreal, she performed with the Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir and Jim Hillman’s Merlin Factor. Her theatre work has included the musicals Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Cookin’ at the Cookery: The Music & Times of Alberta Hunter.
